Felicia joined Sojourner House in 2016 as the Executive Director. She has more than 20 years working in the human services field and over 15 years working in education. For seven years she worked at a private school for students diagnosed with mental health and cognitive delays. She was responsible for overseeing three departments; Leisure and Recreation, Occupational Therapy and Employment Services. Felicia has spent her career working with at risk populations advocating for services. She has worked for the Department of Children and Families, Boston Public Schools and a local charter school. She is a licensed social worker and Human Services Board Certified Practitioner.
Felicia graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She received her master’s degree from Springfield College in Management and Leadership where she is also an adjunct professor. She enjoys traveling, bike riding, reading and spending time with family.
Miranda recently joined the team at Sojourner House as the Executive Assistant. She is excited to bring her skills and experience to further the mission of Sojourner House. Miranda has worked for the State Senate as a Housing Specialist. She is passionate about advocating for people who are underrepresented. Miranda attended Brown University where she graduated with a B.A. in Literature and Cultures in English. She went on to receive her M.A. with distinction from Rose Bruford College in London, UK where she studied acting and play writing. Since graduating, Miranda has worked across a variety of sectors in various capacities. When not working at Sojourner House, Miranda is a theater actress, film producer and playwright.
Paulo first joined Sojourner House in 2008 as an on-call employee. Paulo later became a familiar face and voice and is now managing the front desk as the Shelter Support Coordinator. Paulo has always worked and lived in the community. He graduated from Madison Park Technical Vocational High School with a focus on commercial design and printing. Paulo is an antiques collector and enjoys restoring old furniture and spending time with his kids.
Jarrod recently joined Sojourner House in 2017. Prior to his employment with Sojourner House Jarrod worked as a laborer and foreman for a local construction company. He is skilled in demolition work, major and minor home repairs. Jarrod enjoys golfing, playing pool and spending time with his family.
Upon graduating from Brookline High School Brandon attended Northeastern University. It wasn’t long before Brandon realized his passion for helping people less fortunate. Brandon comes to Sojourner House with over 7 years of experience advocating for people with mental health. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys watching classic movies.
Marlin was a Housing Worker assigned to Sojourner House and later returned as the Program Manager in 2017. She is a full-time student at Springfield College majoring in Human Services. Marlin is expected to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in 2018. When Marlin is not working or studying she enjoys interior design, spending time with family and cooking.
